Virgin Media brings 400 new jobs to the UK

Virgin Media BusinessVirgin Media are recruiting 400 new staff across Swansea, South Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, to meet demand for its digital TV and superfast broadband.

Of the 400 positions 230 will be based in Virgin Media’s new Swansea centre, 40 in Birmingham, 130 in South Manchester and 60 in Glasgow.

Full training will be provided for all recruits focusing on TiVo, television packages and superfast broadband.

Virgin Media is the first provider of broadband, TV, mobile phone and home phone services in the UK. The company’s cable network delivers ultrafast broadband connections to over half of all UK homes, with speeds of up to 120Mb, and is being expanded to reach thousands more people across the country.
