£30m to rebuild communities caused by rioters

According to new media reports Prime Minister David Cameron has announced a sum of £30m in government funding to help rebuild communities following a barrage of riots in England.

The funding will include: £10m for local councils to help with recovery operations and a £20m scheme to support high street businesses recover and get operational again.  This funding would be in addition to the damage payments business, home owners and others can claim from local police authorities under the Riot(Damage) Act.
