NYSE Euronext hires its 300th Northern Irish employee
Enterprise Minister, Arlene Foster, has congratulated NYSE Euronext on recruiting its 300th employee in the region.
In 2009 Invest Northern Ireland offered £9.6m towards the creation of up to 400 new technology operational and corporate jobs, including 75 positions from a prior agreement. The funding supported NYSE Euronext’s business operations move into a new state-of-the-art development facility in 2010.
NYSE Euronext is a leading global operator of financial markets and provider of innovative trading technologies.
Speaking on a visit to NYSE Euronext, Arlene Foster said: “When this project was originally secured in 2009 it was a significant success for Northern Ireland, given the potential for the jobs to be located in other global locations. Today it has grown to become a major employer, offering high value career opportunities in an important sector and I congratulate the company on reaching this milestone.”
