Thank
you to all who showed an interest in the Government
Opportunities (GO) magazine Excellence
in Public Procurement Awards 2008. The standard
of the submissions received was highly impressive,
each presenting a unique account of the excellent
and innovative work which is carried out every
day in procurement across the UK.
Following
intense consideration from the GO Awards
judging panel, the entries that will be the finalists
in each category have been decided. With award
categories covering Individual Excellence, Team
Excellence, Sustainability, Collaborative Procurement,
Best Service, Small Supplier Innovation, Young
Procurement Professional and Improved Delivery
Through Greater Third Sector Involvement, competition
has been fierce, and only the very best nominations
have achieved finalist status.

the outcome of the judging process.
What
happens now?
Finalists
will shortly receive an email with details of how
to register for complimentary places to attend
the GO Awards. Additional places at the GO Awards
are also available to finalists at a discounted
rate. Should any GO Awards finalists wish
to book additional places they can do so while
they are reserving their complimentary places.
Please note that all additional places will be
booked on a first-come, first-served basis until
12 May 2008, after which time remaining places
will be made available to all.
Can
I promote our status as a GO Awards
finalist?
Yes – you
can now promote the fact that your organisation
has achieved GO Awards finalist status.
We encourage you to spread the good news in your
internal and external communications and also on
your organisation’s website or intranet. GO Awards
finalists logos are available upon request; please
email shellie.toal@goawards.co.uk for
more information or to request a logo.
I’m
not a finalist – can I still attend?
Yes – you
are welcome to attend. N3PD, held in conjunction
with the GO Awards, is a fantastic networking
opportunity, and in addition to the presentation
of the GO Awards and lunch, delegates
will hear keynote speeches from Minister for the
Third Sector Phil Hope and Deputy Director-General
of the CBI John Cridland.
Places
can be booked for this prestigious event from 12
May 2008. If you wish to be on the priority list
for places before this date, please email shellie.toal@goawards.co.uk with ‘priority
N3PD booking’ in the subject field of your
email.
