Hampshire County Council is planning to launch a new £400m construction framework (May 30th).buildings_916689Med

Up to six contractors are expected to be appointed to the deal, which will be used mainly for extension, refurbishment and alteration work on existing schools.

There is also the option for work on NHS, police and fire service properties under the agreement.

Individual projects procured under the Intermediate Construction Framework (ICF) are expected to be in the £1m-£4m range.

The council is holding a ‘Supplier Awareness Day’ on 15 June to give potential bidders more information about the framework and the tender process, with a formal call for bids to be made in August.

The framework will come into operation in June 2019 and run for four years, replacing the previous ICF that has been running since June 2015.

Jobs will be procured on a two-stage, open-book basis under the framework, which the council said will “allow collaborative working and early contractor involvement”.
