10.55	Public sector national procurement strategy Helen MacCarthy Director of Customer Service, Government Procurement Service Helen will provide an overview of how Government Procurement Service is playing a key role in the delivery the Government’s procurement strategy.

	Session 2 Chairman Neil Argyle PASS Consultant and former Director, NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency
11.50	NHS procurement policy Beth Loudon NHS Procurement Programme Lead, Department of Health, UK Beth will provide an overview of the QIPP procurement workstream and the development of the NHS Standards of Procurement as well as describing some of the drivers for change in NHS procurement. Beth will describe how NHS procurement could be impacted by the current NHS reforms and how the Department of Health is responding to this.
12.25	eProcurement in the NHS Andrew Rudd PASS Consultant and former CEO, NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency Information has always been key to effective procurement and recent audit reports have highlighted the need for improved data on procurement in the NHS. Equally, effective procurement systems can reduce bureaucracy and make processes more transparent. This presentation will review the current position and future direction with data and eProcurement in procurement in the NHS.

14.20	A view from industry Kevin Pritchard Managing Director, Squadron Medical Ltd This session will consider the emerging healthcare landscape and organisational relationships and will consider how suppliers address the QIPP programme, understand the sales channels and challenges of communicating an organisation’s offer, and will explain the benefits to commissioners, providers and procurers.
