Collaborative procurement continues to rise in prominence as pressure on public sector spending intensifies, and demands for smarter, more joined-up procurement increase. The GO Collaborative Procurement Initiative of the Year Award recognises the vital role that collaboration will continue to play in the future, and showcases the very best examples of this practice from across the entire public sector.

Entry questions:

  1. Please describe how your organisation has adopted a collaborative approach to its procurement activities, or to a particular project.
  2. What were the unique challenges that the collaborative approach sought to overcome, and how has it achieved this?
  3. What aspects of the collaboration have been particularly innovative, unique, creative or groundbreaking (while remaining within the bounds of current procurement legislation) and what has a collaborative approach delivered that could not have been achieved without it?
  4. What level of engagement has been achieved with parties outside of the contracting organisation (for example other organisations, suppliers, the local community, end-users or other stakeholders)?
  5. How have the outcomes of the collaborative approach performed against the measures set at the beginning? Please provide evidence of specific targets set and performance or other measurable benefits achieved or expected, including for end-users.
  6. How has your organisation spread the benefit of this initiative or approach to other organisations and with what results?
