Dundee embraces green transport
Dundee City Council’s environment department is set to champion green transport for the area.
The environment committee is being asked to approve charging points for vehicles across the city following the recent addition of more electric-powered cars and vans in an ongoing initiative.
Councillors will hear at a meeting on 13 February that nearly £90,000 is being provided by Transport Scotland to provide nine charging points for council vehicles.
The proposal includes a ‘rapid’ charger located in the city centre underground car park, with other ‘fast’ chargers at council locations across Dundee.
