GP-led commissioning will be supported by the NHS Commissioning Board to improve efficiency in commissioning, the use of resources and patient outcomes.  Suppliers to the NHS need to understand how health care commissioning will work and what impact and opportunities the changes present for them to access new markets or add value.

Suppliers to the NHS need to understand the impact of the unprecedented changes due to affect the NHS in the near future – some of which are still in their infancy – and their implications for the future use of resources.
