7. GO Team of the Year Award

Deadline for submissions is 6 September 2010

Team working is pivotal to the success of public procurement, and the GO Team of the Year Award recognises the power and potential of a focused and unified approach to procurement initiatives. Teams can be based within one organisation in Scotland or spread over multiple organisations, but they must comprise individuals working towards the same objective or goal. Above all, this Award recognises communication, collaboration and shared success.

Open to:
Scottish public and third sector organisations (a public or third sector team can also include a private sector organisation which has contributed to the initiative)

Evidence keywords:
Collaboration, team approach, communication, cross-sector/discipline working, exceptional, measurable results, stakeholder involvement, end-user benefit

Awards:
One winner, up to two highly commended (if merited)

Criteria:

  1. Please provide an overview of your team’s role within public procurement (including details of the organisation, the size of the team and its remit).
  2. Please describe the team’s approach to its role, or a specific initiative or project that you believe is worthy of recognition.
  3. In respect of point 2, please provide evidence of how the team’s approach or particular initiative can be viewed as creative, innovative and effective. How has it demonstrated performance and commitment that goes beyond that expected?
  4. Please provide examples of how team working has achieved more than could  have otherwise been achieved.
  5. What are the expected deliverables from the team, and what success has been achieved to date? Where possible, please provide evidence of targets set and performance or measurable benefits achieved – particularly in relation to end-user benefit and/or efficiency gains.
  6. Please provide any other information that you believe is supportive of this entry.
