Supplier engagement is high on the UK’s public procurement agenda, and Scotland has already done much to be seen as a leader in this field. This Award recognises those public or third sector organisations which are blazing a trail in engaging effectively and productively with their supply chains. Initiatives can be of any scale or type – the focus of this Award is on the effectiveness and demonstrable benefit that has arisen as a result of the initiative, both to the supply chain and to the end-users.
Open to:
Scottish public or third sector organisations

Promotion, engagement, communication, innovation, diversification, stakeholder involvement, measurable benefit
Awards:
One winner, one highly commended (if merited)
Criteria:
- Please describe the supplier engagement initiative that your organisation has implemented (including how long it has been provided for and to which organisations). What problem was the initiative aimed at resolving?
- What aspects of the supplier engagement initiative are particularly innovative, creative or groundbreaking (while remaining within the bounds of current procurement legislation)?
- What aspects of the supplier engagement initiative have been the most challenging to overcome, and how has this been achieved?
- How closely have suppliers been involved in or consulted on the engagement initiative?
- What were the expected outcomes of the supplier engagement initiative, and what success has been achieved to date? Where possible, please provide evidence of targets set, feedback received and performance or measurable benefits achieved
- Please provide any other information that you believe is supportive of this entry.
