The Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards are fast becoming the most sought-after awards in the sector. The reason is simple – GO is the only magazine in the UK dedicated to public procurement, so when it gives an Award, it's doing so on the basis of in-depth knowledge of the marketplace.
With categories covering Individual and Team Excellence, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, the GO Awards Scotland reflect many of the key areas of focus within public procurement. Recognising that procurement is about buyers and suppliers working together, the GO Awards Scotland also include categories for Best Service and Healthcare Supplier Award – for which entries from SME organisations are encouraged. The GO/McClelland Collaborative Procurement Award, endorsed by John McClelland - the author of the Review of Public Procurement in Scotland – will highlight examples of best practice in this important area.
The highlight of the GO Awards Scotland is the coveted Outstanding Contribution Award - presented to those who have played a significant role in effecting positive change within the Scottish business and/or public sector procurement community.
