The National Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards are unique in recognising the contribution of individuals, teams and organisations across the public, private and third sectors in delivering effective and efficient public services.
Established in 2002, the National GO Awards have become the benchmark by which progress in this sector is measured. Over the years, the National GO Awards have evolved to reflect the changing demands on buyers and suppliers, as well as the increasing expectations of taxpayers and customers of public services. The National GO Awards create a level playing field, rewarding the quality of initiatives and those who deliver them irrespective of the size of the organisations to which they belong.
For buyers and suppliers, the National GO Awards are the ideal platform to raise awareness, share best practice and celebrate achievement in a multibillion-pound sector that impacts upon the lives of everyone in the UK.

Entry Guidelines:
- Entries to be submitted on the official National GO Awards entry forms (PDFs and other document types are not acceptable).

- Tables, graphs, charts, diagrams and captioned images may be included in entries and will not be factored into the overall word count.
- Appendices, brochures and other supporting documentation may not be submitted. Any such items will not be reviewed by the judging panel.
- Links to websites may be given as a means of providing additional evidence. However, we cannot guarantee that such websites will be visited as part of the judging process – therefore any information deemed essential to the entry must be included within the entry form.
- Evidence of support for entries to be provided where requested.
- Entrants must ensure that their entries do not contain commercially sensitive information or infringe the privacy rights of individuals. GO does not accept any liability for any such issues arising from the content of Awards submissions.
- Entries submitted into the National GO Awards may be used in future promotional activity concerning the Awards. In such instances, the individual submitting the entry will be advised.
- No correspondence will be entered into regarding entries that are not selected as finalists in the National GO Awards. GO reserves the right not to provide feedback on entries, but may do so upon request for entries that are selected as finalists. In such instances, feedback will be provided after the presentation of the National GO Awards.
